Finally!

I have finally finished a pair of socks. Since starting them MONTHS ago, I got pregnant and then really sick. Now, I am in my 5th month and hopefully knitting again. I wish I had a nice summary that included the type of yarn, but I don't know where the ball band is. Okay, but the big news is I finished a pair of socks. They are for by son, who is quite pleased with them. I ribbed the leg this time and they stay up a lot better than the last pair I knit for him. Sorry I've been so silent. I hope I am back in the game.

Happy knitting.

Thuja Socks for my bubba

Pattern: Thuja Socks by Bobby Zeigler
Yarn: Fearless Fibers Thoroughbred Superwash Sock Yarn (550yards per skein)
Size: 13 wide
Modifications: I used fingering weight yarn instead of the DK weight that's in the pattern
Start: September 20, 2007
Finish: October 17, 2007

The simple, classic Thuja socks are a great pattern for men's socks. The socks are a size 13 wide. I had 1 yard left of the yarn when I was done.

September Socks

I actually didn't finish these until October 1, but there was a small delay due to running out of yarn. (I had enough for a pair for me, but not for a pair for a man with wide feet oops.) Fortunately one sock got made out of each, so there's no issue with dye lots.

This is my third pair of Christmas socks, and I have a fourth nearly done. It's going to be tight though.

Finally a pair of socks

I'm way behind on posting these, but here are my Move Your Fanny Socks from Socktopia.net done in Tofutsies. This is a great pattern for people with narrow feet. I remember the good old days when I was able to finish a pair a month. Now I'm lucky if it's every two months :(
